Be Jealous.
It started at 10:30 with some food and registration, after that Mr. Morgan came out and got something to eat and took pictures with people. We then proceeded to stuff over 10,000 care packages and Craig Morgan actually helped. It was awesome. Although, the girl that was across my little tub thing didn't stop talking the whole 3 hours of stuffing. ::Enter side eye here::
After we got done stuffing the care packages, Craig Morgan put on a concert that was actually open to the whole base. For volunteering we got to sit up from so it was awesome. The Wounded Warriors sat in the very first row and it was heart breaking to see what these men and women have sacrificed. It also put back into perspective what our husbands (and wives) actually do. I sat in the third row and it was seriously amazing.
He is awesome in person. He sounds just like he does on the CD (which is rare for artists now a days). He seemed so happy with life and so happy to be there. I found out that he served AD Army for 11 years and reserve for 6. I read online that he was a paratrooper (holy cow!) and that he got out to pursue his music. He's also been married to his wife for 22 years and he has 4 (I think) kids. He was a huge jokester!
Whelp, I have TONS of videos and pictures. You've been warned. (Note that I didn't take the first 3 pictures.. obviously)
I'm the one on the right! :) I was in charge of Beef Jerky! Fun Stuff! :)
