Update on our car!

I totally forgot to update!

First let me start of by saying we have awesome friends that chauffeured us around for 2 days while our car was out of commission and always seems happy to help. Seriously the world needs more people like them.

Okay, on to the car. I went to work Monday morning bright and early and Eric got the day off so when CarMax opened he called and they said it was something in the exhaust (no shit dumbass) and it's not covered under warranty. The guy said to call VW because they have some sort of standard warranty that it might be under. So Eric then calls VW and of course it's not covered and they told us to take it to a muffler shop. Great.

Eric calls our insurance and gets it towed (covered under our policy) to the closest muffler shop. The day goes on and we finally get a call saying that there was a hole in the exhaust that they need to weld, but it would be done by 5! YES!

Once again our friend drove us there and we finally got Patty the Passat back for only $160!! I was expecting to pay double that so it was a relief.
