So on a forum I frequent this link was posted about military wives turning to surrogacy. Many of the military wives are raged that women are doing this. I get that this article kind of insinuates that all military wives are good for is popping babies out, but I don't get the rage? Honestly, I would consider being a surrogate. Mostly because I would hope that if I have infertility issues that someone would be willing to carry a baby for me. Is the money you make a plus? Of course. But it's not about that. A child is what most women (and men, even if they don't admit it) want to feel complete in life. People dream of growing up, getting married and having children and if I could help that dream come true.. you bet your ass I would. I know a lot of the rage is about Tricare covering surrogacy. That the tax payers aren't paying for non military dependents to get benefits. Though, it is a military dependent who is carrying that child. I guess I don't see why Tricare wouldn't cover it. The dependent is still carrying the baby and the dependent still needs care as well. What happens if a military wife decides to give her baby up for adoption? Will Tricare not cover it then?
